Spent some time at Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm this afternoon, helping to celebrate the 30th birthdays of 1997 Derby & Preakness winner Silver Charm, and the fella that spoiled his Triple Crown bid, Touch Gold. I made a few new friends along the way: Coach(Lava Man), MikeTheSpike, Channel Maker, Smooth Air, Any Given Saturday, and the absolute sweetest boy, MaybeSoMaybeNot. Stopped and visited the cemetery to finally see the marker for Timely Writer, the first horse that I fell in love with. They moved his remains down from Belmont Park where he was originally buried.
