SO THINK ABOUT THIS: Carmilla steals Laura's pillow all of the time because it smells like Laura and the only way Carm can sleep is when she pretends Laura is laying next to her and is asleep and safe.

i thought this was pretty much fandom accepted as a thing now but YES 

and also, i imagine that Laura was secretly really upset when Betty washed everything because Laura knew that now nothing would smell like Carmilla after that but she tried to put on a brave face and not let on how much it upset her. And she totally stole the clothes that Carmilla wore the most and said she’d ‘deal with’ Carmilla’s stuff which really meant she’d keep it all but Betty didn’t need to know that
