oh and while i'm having an aot ranting moment, the eren was right and the others were terrible for killing him crowd missed like the fundamental point of the series. genoc*de is always wrong. there is no justification. there is no acceptable reason. omn*c*de, which is the far greater crime that eren attempted to commit, is even less justifiable. modern international law defines a pre-emptive strike as a literal fucking war crime. you may not punch another country in the face because they MIGHT punch you first. no matter how ya slice it, it's wrong and a crime, and putting a stop to it even if it meant dooming your own people was, in fact, the courageous thing to do. eren's attempts at justifying his actions were also entirely based on conjecture. he saw what HE did, he didn't see possible alternate futures. it is entirely possible that the alliance wouldn't have attacked paradis, and it is entirely possible that paradis could have survived and/or won its war for survival. we'll never know, but eren didn't fucking know either. he took the actions he took based on a possibility. and the actions he took were wrong. point blank. period.
