#SpiderManBlue 1 - 6 Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale, with Steve Buccellato #ThousandComicChallenge Growing up, I think I liked Spider-Man better than any other hero, even Superman (but it was close). Stories like this remind me of why. Set around a classic period, Spider-Man: Blue focuses on Peter's relationship with Gwen, but also lays the foundation for Mary Jane. I'd only been reading comics for a little while when Gwen died, but I was crushed. #MartianManhunter 1-12 I bought each issue, month after month, from @CrushComics but didn't get around to reading it until now, when I could sit down with the entire story at once. What a treat! The art is quirky, possibly off-putting at first, but beautifully communicated alien culture, and very alien thought, perfectly complementing Orlando's script. #ThousandComicChallenge +12!
