So I kinda had an idea for an AU earlier when I was working on my history paper. I was in a lawyer-y mood bc I’m researching court cases, and I got a flash of an image in my head of Uni, in a crumpled up suit, trying to argue in a court case.
AU where S2 Uni joins the Suits!!
It probably starts with Uni looking for help about the contract that says that he’s owned by the land (bc the Lady of the Land is a nutcase and also doesn’t treat him well), and soon he’s getting personal lessons from Mr. B on how to stand up for himself. So he goes out and gets law lessons from Mr. B without his friends knowing for weeks.
And then one day, the Lady of the Land is awful to Uni for no reason, and Uni stands up for himself for once. Tells her that he’s not just going to do whatever she tells him to, because it’s unfair and wrong.
And Mr. B comes in from out of nowhere, pats Uni on the back and says something like “Good job Uni, I knew you could do it. You’re the best student I’ve ever had.”
And the s h o c k from everyone else that Uni would work with their enemy causes them to go against him, even though he was right in standing up for himself. And Mr. B just smirks because really this was his plan the whole time. He was waiting for this moment.
And now Uni feels betrayed, bc he actually showed some spine for once and immediately his friends turn on him?? And he thinks about how his friends never stood up for him to the Lady either, and he just gets angry
AND THEN Mr. M comes out, weaves through Uni’s friends, picking out their flaws, making pointed looks at Uni, like wow, you really should have left these losers a long time ago. And bc he’s lawyer/businessman he knows how to bend the truth j u s t enough for everything to still feel real, but also enough to make everyone mad
And so now there’s a rift between all of them. Uni’s friends are just drinking it up & turning all of their anger on Uni, shouting at him. And Uni shouts back something like I DIDN’T NEED YOU ANYWAYS and walks away.
Next time they see him, he’s standing on top of a smokestack, smirking down at them in a brand new, crisp suit.
