Did You Hear? || Alecto & Lily

Lily was absolutely fuming from her run in at the grocery store. Seeing the snake was bad enough, but having to find out that he was fathering Mary’s baby made her skin crawl. She didn’t blame the other woman for not telling her, and as frustrated as she was, Lily wouldn’t hold that against her, but it didn’t make her any less frustrated. As she went through the castle doors, she made her way into the kitchens to put her newly bought food away. Seeing Alecto in the kitchen she slid the carton of fizzing whizbees ice cream out of the bag and onto the counter. With a wave of her wand, the rest of the groceries were put away and two spoons were on the counter. “Right, so you won’t believe what wily git I ran into at the grocery store” she started.

Coffee shops were not usually Barty’s place of choice, but he was still fighting a hangover and had to be at the ministry, looking his best, by noon. If he had any shot of not looking like he’d drank his weight in vodka the night before, he needed strong black coffee, and something to curb the nausea that had settled in his stomach. Taking up a seat in the back corner, Barty let his head rest on his palm, his eyes half closed as to combat the bit of brightness that was still visible to him. 

Hearing footsteps approaching, he risked looking up, only to catch eye contact with an all too familiar face. It was unsurprising, truly. She tended to find him in his worst moments, and while he didn’t look as put together as he usually did, this was hardly the worst she’d seen him. Taking another drink of his coffee, he gave her a small smile, that likely looked more like a grimace, “Alecto, fancy seeing you here” he mused.
