the man’s accusation is so outrageous and yet so commonplace; she’s heard it so many times that her first response is no longer anger, but rather exhaustion. she’s about to explain, yet again, that no she does not eat human young--that she finds the very notion abhorrent, and besides, she’s positively certain that they would taste terrible. but something occurs to her. what if…she trolled him, instead of telling him a truth that he wouldn’t listen to? a man like him would be all too easy to fool. she smirks.

      ❝why yes i do. i ate the last one who lost to me, and used his blood to make the soup that i boiled him in. mmmmmm, children.❞
