Medallion quilt with a shark central motif. As for how to create the shark I had 3 options:
1. Piece it traditionally.
2. Fusible web, raw edge machine appliqué.
3. Turn the seam allowance under and straight stitch around, same layered technique I use for literally everything I make.
The simplest route for my mind is what some would consider the most tedious, option #3. If this wasn’t going to be a “used” quilt I’d just hand appliqué it w/ standard needle turn. We Shall See How Machine Top Stitching It Is Goes. The second I deviate from my tried and true appliqué technique I tend to meet absolute disaster OTL which is why I know that option #1 and #2 would end up worse (=゚ω゚)ノ
