It wasn’t very often that he found himself home before Bentley, normally he would get distracted at the Ministry and end up staying behind an extra hour or two before people were more or less forcing him to leave. Today was an exception though, he walked into an empty flat with a message from his boyfriend saying that he would be home late due to an unplanned, last minute, lecture. He made plans to order food for them both, unwind for once and maybe play something given the piano was currently collecting dust. However the plans for his evening were momentarily put on hold when he saw blue, blinking eyes staring at him from the coffee table. There was a white and grey fluffy cat staring at him, a cat he had never seen before and apparently had made itself at home.
Bentley. Was his first thought, of course his boyfriend would be studying to be a vet for a couple of months and already bring a pet into their home. So he ignored it for the better part, gave it a quick pet, made sure it wasn’t going to attack and continued with his plans. Dark started to settle in and the mysterious cat was currently curled up on top of the piano as he played, his fingers only stopping when he heard the front door open. “Food’s on it’s way, I know- I’m good like that.” He smiled, turning around on the piano stool, arms crossed over his chest as he raised an eyebrow at his boyfriend. “Also, care to explain something?” He asked, not even greeting the other before getting straight to the fuzzy business at hand.
