This was honestly the worst anniversary ever. Tony had had the feeling that Steve had been hiding something from him, but he had never thought it would be...well this. He had assumed it would be his present for their second anniversary, which was why he had begun to snoop around a bit. If there was one thing Tony was, then it was nosy when it came to any presents people might get him. He always wanted to know. Not to spoil the surprise, but to prevent himself from impulse buying the same thing on accident.
He let out a sigh as he looked at the files Jarvis had gotten him. All this time Steve had been working for Hydra and no one of them had known. He felt uneasy just thinking about all the secrets Steve must have been giving them from them, all the inventions in his workshop....as his boyfriend he had had full access to most of the things . Something he had changed already. He had changed all his passwords and revoked Steves access to anything besides the basic things in their home. He didn’t want to lock him out, not yet. First he wanted answers from him, from the man he thought he loved and who had probably lied to him since the beginning of their relationship.
At the sound of the door opening he looked up, brown eyes hardening as he watched Steve enter. “Welcome back, honey.” His tone was dripping with sarcasm and suppressed anger. “Care to explain this?” It was all the warning he gave the other, before throwing the files that revealed his connections with Hydra at him.
