➶ Scoping out the Safety ➴
Wednesday, December 14th, 2011 approximately 1:30 in the afternoon
Henry wanted to take archery lessons...and every other kind of lesson that the Merriment Range had to offer. Regina wasn’t sure exactly what they did offer, but she’d ask for brochures or something this afternoon when she went to scope out how safe and appropriate the facility was for her son. Just because she’d been in an overly happy and giving mood because of the twins Monday evening when Henry had asked her to at least look into it didn’t mean she was going to say yes to him taking lessons.
Regina had gotten her secretary to clear a bit of her afternoon on Wednesday, which happened to be today, so that she could fulfill her promise to her son. The drive out to the Merriment Range wasn’t incredibly long, but long enough that the motion made her feel sick again. This “morning” sickness was really getting on her nerves. Thankfully, the cool air that hit her as she opened her car door after arriving and parking the Mercedes was enough to calm the nausea. Everything seemed fresher in the winter, cleaner, and new.
Of course, winter had it’s faults, like her heels sinking into the snow and nearly getting stuck with each step she took towards the building. She’d already noted on her con list that it seemed like no one shovelled. Making it through the snow she opened the door and...okay did anyone actually work here? Was there a bell or something that she was missing? “Hello?!” the Mayor called out as she started to wipe the snow off of her heels against the welcome mat.
Frowning deeply she moved into the building a bit further deciding just to give herself a self guided tour. She found the bathrooms easily enough, which was certainly a good thing to know the location of. As she continued on her tour she stumbled on a wall that had some photographs hanging, which prompted her to stop and look. Pretty much what she’d expected to find, photographs hanging in businesses and public places were meant to show a place’s history or to promote said place. Good marketing she decided adding that to the pro column of her list, and not hearing someone come up behind her in her distraction.
