Swordplay || Eldigan & Eirika

Following General Seth’s directions, Lord Eldigan made his way through the Frelian compound to Princess Eirika’s chambers. En route, Eldigan had stopped by the blacksmith’s to purchase himself an inexpensive iron sword specifically for the occasion.

What is the occasion, you ask? To sharpen the Renais royal’s skills with the sword. Eldigan wasn’t about to duel with Mystletainn-- as it certainly wasn’t fair to his inexperienced opponent. Plus, it would kill her.

Poised before Eirika’s temporary room, the Lionheart gripped the knocker and rapped it against the wooden surface, anticipating a response.

Swordplay || Sune

This was the last time she'd ever consider trying a new weapon just because the falcon knights used to use them. Cynthia groaned and picked up her training sword gingerly, turning to face the dummy again. 

"Alright, this time, not so hard..."

With a shout, she tried to copy what she'd seen Lucina and her father do countless times, only for the sword to jar painfully in her hands and bounce off the dummy without so much as a scratch. Grumbling, she massaged her sore wrists and frowned. 

"...what in the name of the gods am I doing wrong here...?"

Alright, fine, so she needed a teacher. Lucina and father would almost certainly be too busy, it'd take too long to get Owain to the point, Inigo would get on her nerves too quickly, and everyone else...well, the generation gap was still kind of weird for her, not to mention one of them scared her to the hells and back - wait. Didn't that leave her with - aw, no. 

Not the thought-she-was-a-bandit-guy. 

It wasn't like she had much choice anymore, though...not if she wanted to learn how to use a sword. She'd found herself outside his tent anyway.

"...Sune? I need your he...I need your heee...help." She finished lamely.
