Phoenix shifted a bit as he got closer to the clinic, his grip loosening and tightening on the bag he held. He figured lunch was always a good way to get to know someone and was grateful to Hawk for setting it up, he'd wanted to bring Jay to meet her cousin but she'd gotten overly nervous and asked for a rain check. Walking inside he took a seat in the waiting room, feeling slightly awkward as he set the bag on his lap and waited for her to come out. When he spotted her, he stood giving a small smile, "Uh Zelda, right? I'm Haw-your dad's younger brother," that was weird to say but he'd get use to it he mused before adding and holding his hand out, "I'm Phoenix."

Ian was walking back up to his room in the mansion after going shopping for some skincare things after the unfortunate incident. He had been buying several things throughout a period of time, and of course he always had fun shopping. Even though it was a crisis to have all of his skincare products vanish, it was a blessing in disguise. A reason for him to splurge on brand new skincare items. As he took out his new bottle of face mist, he sprayed it on himself as he walked through the house, feeling the refreshing feeling of the mist hit his skin. As he turned a corner towards the stairs, he spotted a familiar figure and figured he had to share this wonderful feeling. “It’s your lucky day today.” He said as he approached Zelda. “You wanna try some of this face mist?”

Each of the three Sealed Statues of the Temple of the Sacred Sword were activated, though not without consequence to their forces. Charging forward, the princess was quick to dive beneath Impa’s outstretched arm, acting as a secondary support for the Sheikah, alongside her Biggoron’s Knife, after the other woman’s knees began to buckle out from beneath her. Awakening the Statue of Servitude had clearly taken its toll on Impa, and the royal hadn’t any doubt the same would be true for Darunia and Midna – three of their strongest fighters drained of their energy, desperately needing to retreat.

She’d thought to at least accompany the Hyrulean General to the temple stairs, wishing to act as her guard’s sword and shield in her weakened state instead of the other way around for once. The pair had just departed from the Town Entrance keep, Zelda’s rapier drawn as she bore a fraction of Impa’s weight whilst acting as a makeshift crutch to help support the woman, when a wave of energy exploded from the temple, rippling out across the battlefield.

“Go, Princess,” the Sheikah implored, utilizing her colossal blade to aid in her balance, “I can make it on my own. You need to find the source of that distortion.”

Despite her desire to protest, the Hylian warrior knew her companion’s words held truth. With no means to object, Zelda could offer nothing more than a nod of understanding before pivoting on the ball of her foot and breaking into a sprint. Rapier clutched in the white-knuckle grip of her right hand, the princess offered a silent prayer to the goddesses, beseeching them for their mercy, as she hurried to investigate what, or who, had caused this new disturbance.

It was late in the evening as the Hylian royal navigated the halls of the castle. An ungoddessly amount of paperwork led to a late dinner, which meant the sun had long since dipped below the horizon. Despite the rows of torches that lined the corridors in even increments, shadows still danced along the walls and made one’s eyes strain to confirm whether something lurked within them or around a dark corner. She supposed this was what she deserved for allowing herself to work so late into the evening. 

The temptation to rub at fatigued eyes was hard to ignore as sleep beckoned, but the royal knew she still had work to do – there was always more that could be done.

Suppressing a yawn, the auburn-haired maiden ascended the stairs and turned onto the wide hall that would eventually lead back to her study. She’d made it about halfway down the corridor before she would have sworn something moved within the shadows. She’d barely caught the movement from her peripheral, likely wouldn’t have had she not been trained to be so observant. Turning to look in that direction, however, revealed nothing.

But no, that couldn’t be right. She knew what she saw. She couldn’t have imagined it, lest she truly had spent too much time staring at never-ending stacks of parchment. 

“Hello? Who is there?”

When summoned to court to meet their special guest of the day, this hadn’t been what she’d anticipated. She hadn’t even known Lord Goro had a child until several years prior – a revelation that came as a surprise to the other members of the court given his age at the time of the announcement. Zelda hadn’t been made privy to any additional information aside from the fact that the heir was a male, and that was the only knowledge that had been passed along in the roughly ten years since she’d learned of the lord's successor.

Given the few details that had been shared from the lord, or perhaps only she had been the one excluded from any further conversations, she hadn’t expected to walk through the large wooden doors to find the young gentleman stationed at his father’s side.

He stood several inches taller than her, though not tall enough to reach his father’s height. His hair was a chestnut brown that gleamed almost bronze in the correct lighting, much like her own. For the most part, he looked like your typical Hylian with no distinguishing features that made him stand out. There was, however, one particular characteristic that the royal found herself lingering on.

Those eyes. 

Crimson red eyes were all but unheard of in Hyrule, though there had once been an exception. While Zelda had never personally met one before, it was her understanding that the Sheikah, otherwise known as the Shadow Folk, had possessed such a trait. History claimed they had once been the chosen guardians of the Goddess Hylia, though their tribe had been wiped from Hyrule due to a brutal history that still troubled the Hylian royal (even though those events had taken place long before her birth). 

So how was it that this male had inherited such a unique and rare eye color? He certainly hadn’t inherited it from his father.

It suddenly occurred to the maiden that she’d been so absorbed in this one trait that she hadn’t stopped staring…or given Lord Goro the response he had been awaiting. 

“Akechi was it? It is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance.”

Sora was fairly sure that Phoenix had sent him for the usual inventory pickup for the station so he'd have a chance to see Hawk. Meeting with him at the clinic just felt easier at the current moment. He'd been about to head back out when he spotted Zelda saying goodbye to a patient. Hawk having other kids wasn't surprising, what was, was Hawk explaining Zelda had been in a similar position. Walking over he gave a small wave, "Hey, Zelda right? Sorry I haven't come to say hi, Hawk's family is a lot bigger than I expected, I'm Sora," he said holding out his hand.
