Return of Spring // Sprite & Firebird
Of all the places his travels had taken him, Urúvion couldn't help but wonder what had compelled him to return to this particular forest. It had been an unconscious decision, in fact he hadn't really noticed where he’d landed until he spotted the familiar mountain crater from when he’d been awoken. The phoenix clicked his beak in thought before flying down to the ground and shifting into human form.
He glanced around the forest as the leaves gracing the trees surrounding him began to sway in the wind. Despite all the life the forest held within it the area was oddly quiet for this time of year and day, but then Firebird noticed it had become that way ever since the resident sprite seemingly disappeared. Urúvion sighed as he turned his gaze back towards the horizon. He’d never admit it, but he honestly did miss the little pest from time to time. She was at the very least amusing company.
For the time Urúvion spent the time listening to what little sounds that remained when he felt the prick of a familiar presence, it was faint so it was hard to tell if it actually was who it seemed to be. But rather then investigate, Firebird shrugged it off for the time being reasoning it as simply being an effect of not having returned for a couple years and merely remembering the feeling of being in a familiar area.
If it was her though, she was likely to make herself known through her own means...
