Spring Stitch||Sprite & Stitch
Sprite’s eyes widened and she clapped her hands together, laughing,
“Oh! Thank you! I’m sorry, did I offer too many choices?”
She blinked, then looked down as he tugged at her. She floated down and then listened carefully, falling cautiously quiet as he explained. She nodded once, then spoke a little slower, a little calmer,
“You don’t like water? You sound like a friend of mine.” Her eyes lit up, and she chuckled,
“But that’s okay! It’s good to know that. So we won’t go to the waterfall, or the river, I promise. Maybe the Volcano, instead?”
It was the most opposite-of-water thing she could think of, and he seemed sturdy. Maybe he’d like the Volcano. There was plenty to climb and inspect, and it could get quite warm, and there was certainly no water…
“Not too many,” Stitch replied tersely, but politely. “Friend? Achi-baba? Who friend? Ooo! Volcano! Stitch know Volcanoes! Stitch live where there big, BIG volcanoes!”
He made an explosion sound with his voice and shook for emphasis. Essentially, he was a toddler with the mind of a super computer. He was intensely curious to find out. So curious, in fact, that he tugged on the Sprite’s green cloak impatiently.
“We go? Stitch want to see volcano!” He remembered his manners, and let go of her cloak. “Oh. Sorry. Please.”
