To Protect[Closed]
The former businessman once desired to protect something. Ryou never learned what it was. The man’s death weighed heavily on his mind since discovering the hole-ridden body. The destruction of Chameleonroid by his own hand gave a mere fraction of satisfaction.
The old man deserved his full, natural lifespan.
Ryou kept watching people. The reason for doing so became lost after a long while. No longer, it seemed, that it was simply to observe. Now, perhaps it was to find what Ryou recently lost:
A friend. A guide.
Sounds of another citizen helping his fellow caused his head to turn. The youth smiled, laughed, even, as he gave his aid to a small child who dropped their toy.
Ryou moved from his spot. Why he wanted to speak to this boy escaped him. He waited until the child walked off, carrying the toy, before he made his approach. “That was very kind of you,” he said.
