" ...and? "
" Use the sleeves of my sweater let's have an a d v e n t u r e."
She's dancing in a crowded park, hair down, smile wide. Just because some stranger is walking towards her doesn't mean Jac is going to stop. She's having fun.

"Eh…." Lips lightly purse as he gives a shrug. "How about we just keep this simple then…..tell me about your dream wedding? Alright? Yeah?"
"Sorry, too many questions?" She doesn't wait for his response before nodding to herself and prepping her story. "Look, y'can't judge me, I made this plan when I was six, it's been on the back burner a long time. But yeah whatever. Uh, I wanted ta get married on a beach in Jamaica, and I'd have this huge band play the wedding march for when I walked down the aisle. And Tommy, my big brother would walk me down and be my maid of honor. And my dress. It'd be either very southern style dresses, y'know like swing dance shit? Or like somethin' real slimming. No ball gowns, no extravagant beadin' 'r nothin'. Just somethin' real pretty." She laughs into her hands, "I'm rambling."
"My toes?" He repeated, always doubting if he heard her correctly. Right. That was an expression. She kept him busy. He had to work to keep up with her. It was true. He shrugged, a slight smile hidden in the corners of his mouth as he took a sip of coffee.
"Are you feeling okay these days?" He asked. She seemed to walk in and out of his life, disappearing and reappearing at her whim. He’d stopped trying to understand why, but he still liked to know if she was okay.
"Yeah, yer toes. Keep yer life from ever bein' boring." Jac rolled her head, not stilling until she heard the satisfying crack of her joints. If anything, it bought her some time, allowed her to study her favourite tall dark and caring friend.
"If by feelin' okay ya mean na pickin' fights with anybody tall and bleedin' from the face, I've been lovely." In that moment, she was straddling the line between not caring, and devoting herself to a friendship (an activity she had basically sworn off).
She took a swig of her coffee, almost instantly regretting it. "Ya know I ain't tha' goddamn good a' fuckin' small talk, right?"
" If I tell you, ya gotta promise not ta freak out on me! "

Jac: I mean I'm pretty sure I just saw a bear in the middle of the city.
Jac: What the hell am I supposed to do with that?????????????????

"Yeah, if I wanted to be the laughing stock of the party. This calls for a shopping emergency.”
" Fine fine fine, don't believe me. But if this is calling for a shopping emergency, then you're helping me pick my outfit, deal? "
"I don't know that we've been formally introduced, 'm Jac. "
