He could pretend he hadn’t been pacing up and down the living room all day, but Liam would see it as soon as he got through the door - so when he heard the telltale sound of a key in the lock, instead of hurriedly diving onto the sofa and flicking on the TV, Robin instead stepped out into the hall to greet him. He instantly checked Liam’s face for any signs that the day didn’t go well as soon as the door opened - but his partner seemed perfectly well.
“So...?” He grinned, hoping to seem encouraging rather than concerned. “Did you meet him? How is he?” He was asking too many questions at once, but he couldn’t help it. He knew Liam had wanted to meet Killian’s new boyfriend for some time, and he wanted to hear everything about him. “Come on, I’ll go pop the kettle on and make us both some tea, and you can tell me everything.”
