Elanore had heard. She had too many sources in the city not to have heard. All the stories, however weird and odd. She was a Vampire, after all, she was used to it. If she did not believe in other creatures, she would be a fool.
Watching Alessandro from afar she wondered. Once, she'd set her eyes upon him, decided he seemed a good target to collect for the Visitors, even if he was a Vitelli brat. He was a Vampire, he could give them intell that others couldn't. A haunted wasn't an option, she needed him in her ranks.
But now he was the don of the family, and that closed all roads. There simply was no more possibility. She also no longer trusted him.
When the last of the other patients returned to the hospital, Elanore stepped out of the shadows and joined the don. "No bodyguards?" she asked, her voice low. As if they were just continuing a conversation they'd already had.
