his heart was racing, faster than he’s sure it ever had before. he could feel his nerves on end and his fingers twitching with nerves. he lost sight of her, for two seconds he lost sight of her. he swerved his way through the bustling crowd that occupied the market, and he tried desperately to sniff her out. unfortunately, his allergies that day were horrendous. he was about to scream and shift right then so he had a better chance at finding her, he couldn’t see any other werewolf in the area that could help.
but he did see another supernatural.
sunggyu made his way towards the female vampire, and without letting her say a word he spoke in a hushed whisper.
“i need your assistance,” he begged quietly, “my child -- i can’t catch sign of her. my scent is hindered and i can’t get a hold of her. please help me, she’s just a little girl.”
a little girl who’s never been off on her own like this before. he’s sure the woman before him could sense his worry through his gaze, his trembling lips would have helped too. sunggyu was distraught, close to tears even. little jinhee, she was all alone. sunggyu could smack himself right then, how stupid of it was for him to release his grip on her tiny little hand, how stupid had he been? he hates it, hates himself right then for not thinking.
not thinking a little wolf would go wandering off like the curious pup she was.
“i’m begging you.” he pleaded, tucking his lower lip between his teeth. the woman before him was older, much older. he can tell by the way she brought about herself. she was proud, and he could only hope she would assist in tracking his daughter. since she was older she was probably able to track easier as well, years of practice. it wasn’t hard to find a wolf if you were a vampire; he’s been told they have a rather distinct scent. sunggyu even broke down and used his best ‘puppy dog eyes’ that was really just him trying to hold back worried tears and to keep in howls of pain because --
his child, was out there alone and probably scared and oh god what if someone tried to take her?
sunggyu felt a little nauseous.
