“Shh, no. No, don’t talk like that,” the Knight said through gritted teeth, shaking her head. “Don’t you dare talk like that, Daya. You are not going to die. Not now, not like this.” The situation was too urgent for her to bother with titles and rank, and she needed the Empress to pay attention. “I’m not going to let you die.” She gathered Daya closer to her body, wrapping an arm tightly around the other woman. She knew her armour likely wasn’t very warm, but it was warmer than the surrounding air, and her cape of rank was definitely weatherproof. That would at least warm Daya some small amount. Focusing her energy, Atropa held her other hand out, palm up, and concentrated on fire and heat. Pyromancy was a technique she’d been taught early on, by her first Master, and though she hadn’t used it in quite some time, she knew she had to at least try.
