After everything that had gone on over the past week, the last thing Nick had wanted was to go to the gala and be around all of that so when he’d been talking to Luc about it, he was glad the other wasn’t going even if he wasn’t glad about the reasons why. But with them both not going, they’d decided to spend it together and  were currently curled up on Luc’s couch, much as they had years ago as if they were back in high school, watching some movie they’d found. The past few days with Luc had brought up a lot of old feelings and memories, which Nick couldn’t help every so often steal a glance across to Luc rather than watch the film. @qvietwhispers​

Nick was worried about Lucas, more than he knew he should be considering they were only friends nowadays but he couldn’t help it. He’d been through similar to this before with Lucas and he hated knowing that this was upsetting him, knowing he couldn’t help someone he cared about when they were struggling but he hoped that them having coffee together and talking that Lucas might be able to figure some things out. If not then he at least hoped that he could just help Luc vent some of his feelings. He’d headed straight to the coffee shop once he’d finished his shift at the firehouse, grabbing his usual and what he remembered and hoped Luc’s still was before waiting outside for him. “Hey.” He smiled softly when Luc approached, offering the coffee out to the other. “I hope your order hasn’t changed.” Nick smiled again, letting Luc take the cup from him. “Do you want to head down to the beach? I can drop my bag off on the way. If not, we could go just sit in the square?” @qvietwhispers​

The past few days brought up more than a few bad memories for Nick, knowing what it felt like to be completely ripped apart online by strangers and friends alike. Thankfully he’d found Faye quickly after the shit had come out about her, sitting with her until Dean had arrived and then given them some time alone. He’d wanted to check in on Luc but he knew he would be looking after his own friends and didn’t want to take him away from that. He’d hardly been able to sleep that night, worrying about his friends and reliving bad memories from the accident and it’s aftermath. It was fairly early when he gave up trying to sleep altogether, pulling on his trainers and making sure to be quiet since Faye was asleep before heading out for a run. He’d mostly stuck to the beach front but then veered off into town, heading to grab himself and Faye some breakfast from the diner for when she woke up. It was as he slowed down once reaching the centre of town that he pulled one of his headphones out, spotting Luc across the street and jogged over. “Hey.” He attempted a smile but it wasn’t much. “How’s Gabe doing?” @qvietwhispers​

magnus looks at the other. he was trying to sneak away from someone, and had run right into this person. he takes one look then motions for him to follow him. "hurry, come with me. i'm sorry i ran into you but now you're a part of this plan. so this way."

walking into the juice bar, nick immediately found a spot to lean on against the wall to examine the menu. going to a new place was always a struggle for them as it took forever to make a decision. thankfully this was just juice and smoothies. leaning slightly, the looked down at the person in front of them in line and spoke. "so, what's good here? it's my first time and i'm horrible at making selections."

pushing the pair of aviators to the top of his head, nick weaved his way through the crowd until spotting his cousin. smiling, he closed the distance between himself and gwen before wrapping her in a giant bear-hug. "ah, gwen, how are you?" he asked into her ear before releasing her from the hug. "i've missed you. it feels like it's been years."

“Sorry, I know I’m staring.” Everett commented when he felt the others eyes on him. “But you have the exact same drink as me right now and I’ve yet to try it, so I was basically going to see your reaction to having it and decide on whether I should get them to make me something else.”
