“I don't know if we should be alone together....”
Gracie gave a small smile before pressing a kiss to the others cheek. “You’re too kind,” she told them softly. “But I can find my way home, don’t you mind. Stay, have fun.”

“You’re full of it,” Gracie said, a quiet laugh and small smile on her lips as she looked up at the other. She was supposed to be studying, but she didn’t mind the others company. In fact, it was welcome. “I don’t think you really know what you’re talking about, but you’re good at faking it.”

“Let’s get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance.”
“Why do you look at me like that?” Gracie asked the question so softly, almost she didn’t hear it. Maybe because she felt so nervous asking the question; she felt so nervous in most conversations. Was that why the other looked at them the way they did? Did they finally understand who she was, how she felt? She wasn’t sure if the idea of someone finally getting it scared her, or if it felt like a relief, to not have to carry so much weight on her shoulders.
