"Ugh, I don't suppose you sell bloody marys here, do you?" It wasn't particularly bright out, and it especially wasn't overly bright in the cafe, and yet Iggy was wearing sunglasses. He'd had a long night, and now the whole world felt too sharp. There wasn't any other way to describe it, and he couldn't help but crave something that might take the edge off a little bit. To his chagrin, the barista shook their head and he sighed. "Yeah, I know. Just a regular coffee, then. Hot is fine," he said, smiling as best he could muster and stepping aside so the next patron in line could order.
A minute or two later he sat down at a table with his coffee in hand, other hand holding a handful of sugar packets. He poured them in one at a time, doing his best to waste as much time as he could, not very patient even on a good day. He also didn't want to think too much about why he was there, his brain dwelling too much on the fact that he was closer to thirty than twenty and he somehow had a brand new sibling in the world. Half-sibling. And that half-sibling was most of the reason he'd agreed to meet his dad today. Otherwise he couldn't imagine they had much to talk about. Or maybe they did.
Iggy sighed again, louder than he'd originally meant to, slumping down in his seat a bit. Both elbows rested on the table still, fingers fiddling with the sugar packets he continued to rip open and pour slowly into his coffee, one by one.
