"i'm a carrier," bea admitted, voice low and solemn. "i didn't tell you because, honestly, i thought you'd turn. just like the rest of them whenever they spend more than an hour with me." she shrugged. "i figured i may as well just steal your stuff once you did." she eyed the other, who was clearly not a zombie after hours spent with bea. "but you didn't. you're still human. that means... you're immune. or well, you're like me." she didn't know if that was a blessing or curse.
