let's start with the obvious.... the bow on her headband is meant to look like the number 1! you may ask how it's doing that,,, i really don't know! it's like an exposed nerve ending /nsrs (also it moves with her emotions! neat!)
i tried to incorporate a lot of circular elements into her design! such as: the polka dot pattern on her headband and tank top, the big spherical beads on her front twists, her bubble-esque shorts... yeah you get it
i majorly alternated the outfit i gave her in a gijinka design i shared in june i think??? i didn't like how childish it made her seem. like For The Record my one gijinka is in her mid-late teens... so i tried making that clearer here! she's abnormally short for her age tho... she's 140 cm exactly
the patches that are visible on her face are not vitiligo ,, they're caused by eczema! actually no thoughts behind that. every character deserves some kind of skin condition /HEAVYHEAVY JOKE
OH RIGHT I ALMOST FORGOT!!! her friendship bracelet! it's shared between her and Two of course... the arm it's placed on is actually slightly symbolic! it's placed on her left arm because it's her non-dominant one. the one she doesn't use much or prioritize.... get it 😂😂😂 get it 🤣🤣🤣 okay i overexaggerated my wording a bit... she obviously cares about their friendship! just not as much as the other half of it... also the end string is meant to resemble a 2. holy whiplash
her other bracelet is made of sunstone! due to it's relations with courage and optimism... just thought it fit!
also she's meant to be Jamaican but i don't think that's super duper relevant to the aspects of her design,, just a fun fact is all

okay so you might be wondering... where is the headpiece that corresponds to her number? well it's his hair itself! the entire thing! it's not very obvious in the angle i put him in,,, if you were to look at his cornrows from a profile angle, they would look like the shape of the number 2!!! blinks and bats my eyelashes... i don't think anyone's ever thought of that one I'm sososo smaaaaarttt ‼️‼️‼️ /lh also made them dyed in a lighter browish colour to emphasize that!
I'm not quite sure how to elaborate on his design much tee bee eych??? like it's very In Your Face what i was trying to do... probably got subconsciously influenced by other ppl's designs of him because i do not believe he stands out from the rest of the fandom's gijinkas for him... sighs... you can't blame me tho what else am i supposed to do??? this is the most obvious outfit configuration you could give him i think
there's a couple leaf shape motifs across his design... such as: the shape of his braids, his eyebrows, his neckerchief i think it's called, the patterns on his vest, the bows on the ends of his trousers... yeah yeah yeah we get it
the placement of his bracelet is the opposite of One's! it's on his dominant hand to symbolise how much his friendship with One means to him!!! and like with One the end string resembles a 1!
fun fact: he is meant to be afro-cuban!! alsoalso he's about the same age as One,, just a day or two younger (because of their respective debuts!)
and for the both of them: the embroidery on their collars and sleeves are there so the cab compliment each other. dunno if i did a good job with that

One 🍎
One’s design is HEAVILY inspired by the Little Red Riding Hood. Other significant features of her outfit consists of circular elements, ranging from her skirt (semicircular ig but the cut y’know??), her shawl, and the top-side of her shoes!
One’s hairpin is also their numberling, their hair resembles her block form, and they share a friendship bracelet with Two.
I’d also like to think that her handwriting is elementary styled like those from the penmanship practice books I had (both print and cursive).
Two 🍊
Two’s design is the most easiest to conceptualize, and funny enough, he takes some resemblance from Blippi, in which my lil’ brother religiously watched recently 😅
Two’s ahoge (a lil’ hair sticking out) is his numberling, same as his whole hair, semicircular elements all around (eyebrows, overalls front pocket, and collar). Also shares a bracelet with One (although her color doesn’t fit him like her does)
I was planning on giving him a more formal look for his main outfit with the pants and bow ties, but I figured that it’s more of Twenty’s gimmick instead.
Three 🎪
Why no yellow 😭
Three’s outfit is inspired by Pomni from Tadc since they have that jester aesthetic. Also, she’s the first that I drew, and I originally wanted to make a fanart of her.
When it comes to her numbers and shape motifs, hers is really prevalent since her official design has that already, and then added more to her hair, ruffles, face paint, and skirt.
She tiptoes so she can look taller than Four mueheheh-

The absolute HARDEST to draw. I had to have a least 5 drafts of his design before starting. Oh well! Anyways, I wanted to give him another outfit since the jackets are way too overrated, BUT once I.. let’s say.. rewatched the older episodes, I saw his 1x4 form and decided.. why not! And then used that concept on his jacket strings.
Since this dude is crazy obsessed with squares (I don’t blame him honestly, squares are mathematically blessed), I gave him an unshanka, square pants, and combat shoes (since they can look square too). Same as his strings, I made his hair dreadlocks.
His overall vibe is.. well.. I haven’t really planned a lot on his outfit but it does seem like he has that cadet trainee style.

Five is one of the quickest to draw out of all of them! She has lots of amazing concepts to add, like her numberling resembling a tear on her pantyhose. But too bad I scrapped it ehhe, might reveal in my doodles soon to let you guys see the vision.
I actually opened my brained for this.. her hair is literally resembling her numberling!! Her body type is also, in a way, resembling a star.
She has that rockstar gf aesthetic frfr (during performance, it’s going to be alt rock bcs she’s just cool like that)
