Threshold sketches. Sketchold.
Hi. Hey. When you're listening to John describe Faroe in the most loving detail imaginable, whatever you do don't think about s2 Arthur screaming at him to never say her name again. Don't think about it.
hey think Arthur had flashbacks to Antoine when Sam told him to carve out the guy's heart? Think he thought about Kayne's whole exploding heads thing when he shot blindly and cleanly shot Sam through the head?
This is how my brain pictures this scene. Two soppy dads pressed against the window, gushing over their girl 💛
Threshold p1
My tags from this post FROM 2024!! I'VE BEEN HERE AND I'VE BEEN RIGHT
anyone else fucking hyped for the possibility for arthur to keep some big fucking secrets from john - and from the fact it already looks like he's on his way there
HOPING THAT ITS KAYNE FUCKING WITH HIM FROM THE BEYOND
Arthur is so #woke he refuses to deadname the guy who ripped him apart multiple times
Have you listened to threshold yet and if so thoughts?? /nf
YES I HAVE. and yes I have thoughts.
I loved hearing more malevolent!!!! So amazing to have my boys back, I missed them a lot and im very excited for the series to progress, it sounds like it’ll be incredibly interesting and hopefully horrific!!
im just… not quite sure how I feel abt the character dynamic. (YET)
sure, it’s only been one episode. And I’m not gonna judge anything yet. The voice acting has been impeccable, as has the soundscaping, however, something feels a little off. I don’t know if it’s because we’re stepping into a new era of this show and I need to shift my expectations, but the way Arthur and John have been interacting together has felt very humorous- or like Harlan is trying to make it seem like lighthearted banter- but in the wrong places. Like- they’re talking abt really heavy stuff as if it happened twenty years ago and not like they’d been through the most gruesome traumatic life altering events only a year in the past, and then had to adjust back to “normal life” which is actually an altered reality where he has his dead daughter back and he’s missed her entire life?!
idk, it feels… rushed. Not like Harlan has rushed the writing, because it’s good as ever, just… fluffed over some parts that could have been good to see so we know where Arthur and John are at without hearing it from jokes while they’re sitting in a car. I’m exaggerating a bit, I personally just like it when things are fleshed out. But I know in the long run it probably won’t matter, because there’s plenty of time to explore the past but im sure Harlan has many, *many* plans for the future that will give me just as much trauma and emotional damage as the first series did.
I did love the scene with faroe though. Almost cried- I will admit. I hope we get more, I quite like her and would love to see her character have more of an impact on the plot, ESPECIALLY if she finds out abt John.
also the music is still fire, can’t stop listening to the soundtrack lol
how about you??? Have you listened and what are your thoughts???
