the hottest thing a guy can be is barely conscious on the floor while someone lifts his head up by the hair so that you can see his glazed out eyes and the blood running down his face
I have been a sheep caretaker for like two days and already I'm like. Wow. I get it.
I get why these were some of the earliest mammals to ever be domesticated. They look up to humans with this sort of dumb but all at once innocent and pure and trusting expression. They're happy to see you. They follow you around. They like to be rubbed under their chins. Maybe its just some latent Scottish highland shepherd DNA I still have in me but I look at my sheep charges and suddenly I see why the love of God for humanity is so often described as a shepherd and his sheep. I'd fight a wolf for these guys. I'd go way the Hell out of my way for them. I'd carry their young for miles on my own back.
nearly 80k reblogs and how many of you eat lamb
The ancient shepherds I'm referencing also ate lamb lol
haters do not want you to know this but if you pick up something heavy every day it will eventually stop being quite as heavy. this is because the heavy thing, having witnessed your dedication, begins to yield its essence to you. and you, in turn, begin to absorb that essence into your own being. this is what makes people strong. the more essence you absorb, the stronger you become, and the more respect you command from the world around you.

balance

huge fan of the depth of a good purple but another area that draws me is definitely around aquamarine/turquoise/seafoam. you can not go wrong once the green starts getting just a tinge more blue. a gal could certainly do worse than to pull over there and stay a while
something earth shattering going on here
this is why one of my favorite all-time paintings is Ship in Stormy Seas by Ivan Aivazovsky... he was really onto something there
a close up to just... light shining through those waves, makes me feel faint with exhilaration every time
THERE IS A BOAT BY IVAN AIVAZOVSKY!!
Ivan Aivazovsky could paint glowing water. One of the GOATs for sure.
Here, take this battle shrimp. One could say you've found your knight in brining armorđŠ
For everyone who âused to love readingâ but now hasnât finished a book in years, you CAN get it back. Genuinely start bringing a book (preferably short and either fiction or a non fiction topic you already really enjoy) everywhere you go and when you have 5-20 mins waiting for the bus or at the doctors office or mechanic or whatever, get out your book and read it! You donât have to finish it quickly or even read it often but it is so good for your brain and fun to get into the habit of reading more (and replacing being on your phone for those moments). Source: I read 0 books in 2023 and Iâve read 12 in the first 4 months of 2026

CeCe Rogers on Facebook writes: "Two Black Tennessee lawmakers were physically escorted out of chambers this week while Republicans quietly held a hearing to approve gerrymandered maps that would eliminate the state's only majority-Black congressional district.
No referendum. No special election. No public vote.
Because they know what happens when voters actually get a say â just look at Virginia, where the people spoke so loudly that Republicans had to drag the courts in to override them.
This isn't new. During Reconstruction, Black Americans held more congressional seats than at any point in the prior 90 years of American history. And white supremacists spent the next several decades tearing that down, through gerrymandering, poll taxes, and voter intimidation.
150 years later, the same tools. Different suits.
The audacity of escorting Black lawmakers out of their own chambers while dismantling Black political representation, and then telling us the courts aren't political, is breathtaking. These are the same courts they're counting on to make it stick.
This is a coordinated, multi-front assault on Black Americans. And we need to say it exactly that plainly."
In part 46, Arthur talks about how as a child, he was jealous of his first best friend because of how his father dotted on him, so he snatched the toy his father made him and burned it
Then Arthur, seconds after praising Johnâs work, called it cheap because John mentioned that he was struggling with writing music
His action as a child, while cruel, can still be justified and even pitied as a child's envy of another who has everything he wanted, and he was too young with no guidance
But then he grows up, and you see that he's the same envious boy who's willing to hurt others who have things he doesn't. And in Johnâs case, it's not even something he was granted, it's a hobby and a talent that is very human at its core, and completely inspired by Arthur. And Arthur, jealous, drags him down and throws a cheap shot at his confidence.
While I hate this part of Arthurâs character, I'm also really glad that it's there. Harlan didn't decide that after the events of Malevolent Arthur would become a wise, perfect protagonist. Nope, he's still full of flaws, and while his character developed, it didn't really change. He's still the same man, but at least now he's trying.
He'd tell John he's proud of his work instead of letting their friendship die like he did with William.
HUGE fan of this recent thing we're doing where Adrian is, physically speaking, wayyyyyyy out of Rocky's league.
Like what do you mean of course they have the most gorgeous voice ever which to sound-based Eridians is basically the equivalent of why-the-fuck-arent-you-a-supermodel.
Of course they had sooooooooooo many mating/courting offers and gifts and love letters sent to them while Rocky was away (but they of course stayed faithful and weren't having any of that shit).
Of course Rocky forgot to mention to Grace their size difference and that Rocky is by Eridian standards a tiny little twink and Adrian is a giant also so when Grace meets them he's looking UP because they're less of a rock and more of a boulder.
Straight up The Bride And The Ugly-Ass Groom-ing it. We're all insane. I'm obsessed. Love love LOVE it
Morticia and Gomez, but rocks. Gotcha
threshold episode 2 posted i can finally share john doe writer woes. guy who has 2 full time jobs describing shit and still can't figure out how words work
