Threshold festival

On their website they describe themselves as: “Threshold Festival of Music & Arts has its roots in the creative industries of Liverpool and the North West. For eight successive years, the event has brought together a diverse wealth of artists, musicians, promoters, academics and enthusiasts to The Baltic Triangle district of the city. 

It is clear to see that my festival is different to this, although there are some overlapping themes. I do like the header of the poster due to the composition of it.

Disappointing night of printing. To create the hermetic yantra to the size I want (40cm diameter) I had to print the outer circle/triangle in three equal segments (as I don't have a screen big enough to print it in one pull, that would be too easy). I worked it out on the computer so that the three segments would fit together to form a perfect sphere, however, when it came to printing it didn't go as easy as I thought it would. The sphere wasn't quite perfect and there were some registration issues. A rethink of the design is needed so that it is not so difficult to create this outer layer. Contrasting Geometries.

Very pleased to announce my application to exhibit at this years Threshold Festival has been accepted. 

The theme is "Contrasting Geometries" and I've been working on a series of images based around this. As yet undecided what I'll be using but it may look something like this image. If you have never been to Threshold before it's a must do in the city's cultural calender. Tickets still left and I guarantee you a top weekend of music & visual art.
