Thrift tip:
Single blade razors can be used to remove pills and wispy bits from a old sweater.
Lay across a hard flat surface! Then shave that sweater like you were shaving your legs or face, light pressure long strokes.
When you are done you can lint roll the bits away or shake it out.
Thrift tip:
IMO - Carbona stain pens are the bomb. Much better than the others.
Thrift tip:
Buying shoes from a thrift store? Leave them sealed up in a garbage bag for 48 hours ( or maybe 72 to be on the safe side) hours before wearing. This will take care of mites and things that can give you scabies.
After they have sat throw them in a dryer on HIGH for atleast 20 minutes. My dryer came with this awesome rack you can put inside for shoes and things.
Thrift tip:
Vinegar!
Throw a cup into your wash and it will prevent stuff from getting linty.
It will brighten your colors.
It will clean armpit stains!
It can also eat up your washing machine so.....dont do it all the time...even better go to a laundromat.
I bought a St. John Collection Neiman Marcus Knit Blouse/vest/shirt today. It was a size 8 and it fit wonderfully. I think it may have shrunk because it is supposed to be dry clean only. This is why you don't always depend on the sizing when it comes to thrifting. I can't wait to share it with you guys. It is super cute.
Steamers
They are so handy...especially being a thrift addict....if you find your thrift clothing to be stale smelling run a steamer over it a few times and you will have refreshed clothing in no time!
My favorite part of thrifting is copying high-end styles! Check out Prada's Spring and Summer teaser, and keep these styles in mind next time you go thrifting!
Also, just sit back and enjoy the video because it's fun!
