Meet Smokey Mary! She claims herself to be the queen of Mardi Gras, and who’s to tell her she’s not? This design is inspired by the Krewe of Orpheus float by the same name, the longest float currently running in any parade! There’s also references to all the Krewe I personally find iconic, and I hope those who are aware of them can find them and take joy in it! I know this is a few days after Mardi Gras but I was in New Orleans for it and also I just got super busy, but here she is! It’s a very different design than what I would usually do at least color wise, but hey I think it fits Mardi Gras really well! I hope you all had a safe and fun Mardi Gras, and if you got hit in the head by beads well um. Me too bestie
