The cheap thrifty New Englander’s guide to a clean sink and garbage disposal.
First, wet the sink.
Then shake the contents of that old box of baking soda you had in the fridge around the inside of the sink.
Scrub clean with a sponge.
Slice an old lemon, empty it plus some week-old ice into the sink.
Run water and turn on the garbage disposal.
Use a spatula to slowly nudge the lemon slices and ice cubes into the drain.
Rinse the sink so the baking soda drains.
You’ve deodorized your garbage disposal and cleaned its blades for the price of a lemon.

kombucha is a great substitute for soda drinks, as it provides that delicious carbonated feeling on your tongue but still has amazing natural flavors! it’s a probiotic drink that can help kill bacteria you don’t want in your system. some studies go so far as to say it helps fight heart diseases, cancer, and to manage type 2 diabetes! it seems there’s no end to the health benefits of this ancient beverage 🍃

Also, this is my annual tip for anyone planning on shopping at Joann Fabrics or Michael’s: they will honor competitor coupons. Only one competitor coupon per shopping trip, but they *will* do it.
I have no idea if Hobby Lobby does the same thing, as I don’t shop there. (No shame if you do shop there, it’s just something I choose not to do.)
So remember! Always bring ALL the coupons with you!
