So, my doctor called today. (Hold my hand!)
Usually when your labs come back good, you get a postcard. Considering I just had the blood work yesterday, my heart jumped in my throat. I have no deficiencies, my organs are doing their thing, but my platelet count was high. Don't ever google that. You'll think you're on your deathbed! More work was ordered. And thanks to the wonderful google, again, I was able to find out exactly what they're looking for by searching the diagnosis code. Another bad move: ICD9 238.71 Essential thrombocythaemia (ET, also known as Essential thrombocytosis or Essential thrombocythemia) or Primary thrombocytosis (PT) is a rare chronic blood disorder characterized by the overproduction of platelets by megakaryocytes in the bone marrow in the absence of an alternative cause. In some cases this disorder may be progressive, and rarely may evolve into acute myeloid leukemia or myelofibrosis. It is one of four myeloproliferative disorders.
I'M DESPERATE.
interested in buying some art? for a donation, i'll do a custom, one of a kind commission piece for you!
here's the scoop: i'm almost 40,000 in debt from medical bills. my mom is trying to cover as much as she can, but due to changes in my stepdad's job, and my mom's declining health, they're now in danger of losing our house. i still live at home because i can't work, and have been denied disability. we are in the process of hiring a lawyer to appeal, but that takes time... sometimes years. my car should be retired - the repairs it needs will cost almost 3 grand, and i only paid 4 grand for it. (i've also already put OVER 4 grand BACK into it because my brother has stolen and totaled it twice, and it was a crap car to begin with.) over spring break i'm going to have to be put on IV antibiotics for a MRSA infection i've had since june. that's costly, and i have to go to the infusion center every. single. day. (it's 30 mins away, and i don't have a reliable car) i'm also looking at feeding tubes by the end of the year (IF i can afford them) i also lose my health insurance in may, and won't be able to afford to see my specialists anymore, so i'm trying to see all of them before then to work out a plan of care on whatever crap insurance i'll be able to afford. basically, i'm desperate for money. please consider buying something (just message me here or on facebook: shay jordan batte) or simply donating by clicking the link on my tumblr page. if you can't would you please be so kind as to reblog this, and spread the word?
