“Why didn’t you tell me you’re seeing someone?”
“So the handsome stranger you kissed at the Valentine’s Ball was just a friend?”
“Of course I saw you; you were in the middle of the dance floor!”
“Yes... yes I’m sorry I didn’t greet you sooner. I’d been looking out for your arrival I promise, I just got... distracted.”
“No I wasn’t kissing anyone. I was arguing, actually. Stop trying to change the subject. Who was he?”
Thomas Jefferson I referenced that picture taken with the camera from the 1800s
I like shifting my perspective to make sure that I don’t miss anything while being blinded to one side. It’s like playing chess with yourself, or I guess more so Socratic questioning. My professor said that she could tell based on the way I dreamt, that I was a “big picture thinker” and “highly intelligent.” She said it in such a heedful tone that I felt afraid. Although she said it in such a way that one would think that it was a gift, I just felt that there was such a potential for darkness that I didn’t want to face myself.
