Yes hi hello this is a photo of me in my sports bra, showing off the bandages that I now have as a result of visiting my local planned parenthood location and getting nexplanon implanted. Because APPARENTLY, elected officials in several states have forgotten to internalize the message I have on my wall (thanks, mom!) and have decided that even me - EVEN MYSELF - who is: -in a relationship with a lady -a seminarian (and a pretty good one, I’d venture) -not in ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM prepared (emotionally, financially, etc.) to go through pregnancy and birth of a child, much less raise one would be criminally liable for the fetus that would occur as the result of unwanted sexual contact with a man. I have had unwanted sexual contact with a man within the last 14 days. Thankfully, there are no physical consequences to that event. So today, I took my life - yes, MY life, into my own hands. I took a scary step and implanted a stick into my arm that will hopefully not be needed, but will prevent a fetus for the next several years. I was put on this earth for a reason. Parenthood is not one of them. And I will pursue that reason, whatever it may be, until my very last breath. To my friends in Alabama, Missouri, Ohio, and Texas: I see you. My heart breaks for you. And I will fight for you. #throwkindness https://www.instagram.com/p/BxjF_vmhMNV/?igshid=ow7yqbs89fvt
