Todays catto(s) of the day: Thulium and Mendelevium!
These cattos both work in the hotel, thulium being responsible for the free healthcare in the hotel and mendelevium just manages the entirety of the hotel, she is a very important figure!
Thulium is rather calm but also kinda awkward sometimes though he tries his best to be kind to everyone equally- he’s on good terms with Mendelevium.
Mendelevium is just extremely exhausted due to how chaotic the hotel is, she also has a pretty short temper and WILL yell at you when you annoy her long enough, absolutely despises Osmium and Samarium the most.
(Mendelevium made by Ruins, Thulium made by Nostuyx)

Ewewewew Lanthanide alert Thulium alert
Since Alvy indirectly referenced a Thulium isotope, I remastered her for the fun. Also its Thulium-172 and she goes by another name known as Eta-Erbium-172 (all because of confusion of Erbium-172 decay and similarities in Lanthanides)
Gender: Female Personality: She is a nurse even though she isn't that intelligent but she somehow hasn't messed up, yet. She likes to watch YTPs when off her usual working hours and sometimes she will annoy her siblings with YTP humor. Her jokes usually sound terrible. She sometimes wanders for no reason. She is knowing that she used to be called a different name. Biography: She was born called Eta-Erbium-172 because of how similar her properties where to Erbium-172 causing her to be mischaracterized as a different catto by scientists all because she was formed from samples of Erbium-172 that decayed through beta-minus decay into Thulium-172. Eventually once isotope science improved she was found out to be a Thulium isotope and thus she was renamed to Thulium-172, with her old name being ditched permanently Credit to @touch-tone-collective for making the original catto
Yet more of them again! I made Thulium, Yttrium, Sulfur, Oganesson and Gadolinium! am i cooking 🥺
Of course you're cookin', man. Yttrium and Thulium and Gadolinium outfits looks great! peak
Self-adapting fiber component tackles heat challenges in high-power fiber lasers
Thulium fiber lasers, operating at a wavelength of 2 micrometers, are valued for applications in medicine, materials processing, and defense. Their longer wavelength makes stray light less damaging compared to the more common ytterbium lasers at 1 micrometer. Yet, despite this advantage, thulium lasers have been stuck at around 1 kilowatt of output power for more than a decade, limited by nonlinear effects and heat buildup. One promising route to break this barrier is inband pumping—switching from diode pumping at 793 nm to laser pumping at 1.9 µm. This approach improves efficiency and reduces heat, but it introduces new challenges for fiber components, especially the cladding light stripper (CLS).
