Q: when is the next game update? can you add X to the game?

A: The game is currently on hold. The EC fandom is the largest community I've ever had and I'm not used to being in the middle of such a vast crowd, so I had to step away from working on the project and basically hand it over to the community itself. You can check out some fan mods that add more features (I'll compile some kind of list at some point so you don't have to search for em)

Q: did you get my ask?

A: I most likely have. But I'm not currently responding to them for the reason mentioned above. Sorry.

Q: is the game malware/spyware?

A: No, I don't do or support that kind of stuff. I don't even know how to program a virus. However, there are apparently some fake ads for the game going around. Do not click them - they ARE disguised malware. Only download the game from its itch.io page, or try one of the fan mods that you trust to be safe.

Q: when are you gonna do a cerveza cristal catto?

A: when a cosmic ray of the right wavelength hits my brain

hey uh, kinyxo here.

I've been kinda confused over the whole me-in-the-community thing because I checked discord and seem to be no longer in the elementcattos server?

to be fair, I did say some unsavory things about some of the characters... but i do deeply apologize for that and I promise it won't happen again.

but if you do kick me from the community, that's fine, i knew it was coming anyways...

I left the server a while back myself so I wasn't there to see what "unsavory" things you said, from what I heard it may have just been the mods messing with the ban command (hey mods if ur reading this pls behave ok?). I'm sorry that happened.

imo given the state of the server maybe it's best you move on but you do you lol

This blog is going on an indefinite hiatus.

Long story short, my interest in continuing to run it has unfortunately died down as a result of the game's sudden popularity, which overshadowed it and generally has been bringing me a lot of stress. As I've mentioned before, I'm very much not used to having such a large audience, so it's been greatly affecting my creativity.

I've been attempting to "take it easy" and give myself temporary breaks from working on the game or managing the blog, but seeing as that hasn't really helped reduce my stress, I think the best thing to do now is to just give the whole project a rest until better times.

I will no longer be working on the game (at least not as its main developer), responding to asks or posting comics here unless someday I feel I'm in a good enough state to resume the project's "official" run. Until then, the blog will stay up as an archive of sorts. I may occasionally reblog something very important or share updates on the game, whose development I'll be off-handing to a small team of talented fans.

You, the community, are free to continue creating EC art and designs and whatever else you put your talents to. I hope to have inspired people enough to keep the Cattoverse alive even when I'm unable to do so myself. Thank you all for the amazing journey, stay safe, be nice, and stay hydrated unless you're an alkali metal.

(I won't be stopping art altogether, of course - I'll continue creating various things, scientific or not, for as long as I live. You can get updates on whatever I do by following my main blog. Love you all, peace!)

The top one is The Way To Meet Tennessine, the one that got lost in the mail. It’s 60 pages long, takes place after The Planet Elements And Their Man-Made Colleagues (TPEATMMC), and stars the Halogens who go to the Actinides to meet their heavier congener.

The one under is Helium The Matchmaker, which takes place approximately 6.5 billion years after the Big Bang (universe is 13.85 billion years old). It’s 44 pages long and stars Helium (or Two, since those names don’t exist yet) who, after being asked to find other companions by One/Hydrogen (out of sympathy/advice), leads its new friends to meet each other as they help with its newfound emotions and feelings for One.

The third is Lead’s Nightmare, which is much shorter than the other stories, being only about 1400 words long. It’s pretty dark, and honestly pretty sad. You will feel bad for Lead.

I know I said I would link three, but I decided to include Things With Elements, a short thing I wrote mostly a year ago, before I was hyper fixated on everything elements. I like to show it off even now, I think it’s a bit funny even if some of the writing is pretty outdated.

You don’t have to read everything, but it would be cool if you did. It’s alright btw lol I forgive you. I need to play element cattos again now that theres an official mobile link anyway.

hii again sorry if im just bothering too much but heres my take on a yttrium oxide catto (bigender btw)

due to being commonly used as a strengthening additive in alloys i kinda think he'd like to help other cattos that have a certain weakness in something

also she'd do pottery because yttrium oxide itself is also used in it

i dont realy know much i usually just search what the compound is used for then add stuff to the design

also about the design aspects, she has a laser tail, led display for eyes, tips of his ears and hair split between red and green also due to the compounds usage in some stuff and whatnot

hi uhh, now that Ive discovered element cattos and another stuff, now i know that the periodic table and the elements are awesome, the molecules, etc. I'm starting high school and i'm very excited, i want to learn science and math (yeah math is very awesome), anyways, thanks god i discovered this Game lol

Hello :P

It's me, another person of this enormous thing that we call earth that has stumbled among this beauty of a project. I found them casually when looking around for the periodic table during a study session for a text I was writing about #copper, and somehow, I found myself here.

I absolutely love the Tumblr page as well as the sandbox. (I might have made the universe implode wayyyy to many times)

Me and some friends are planning on creating some Catto Plushies... Someday. And after writing that text for an Internal Assignment at the IB Diploma programme, I gained a very strong bond for Copper. So, probably Copper plushie coming soon here :3
