Be proud of the chemical miracle you are!
Made this for fun
Samarium is upset
Lithium is pissed off
Forgot to mention that, Lithium element number is 3 and he's a therapist, that's why he said "I'll give you (3) seconds to give me a valid reason to not give you electric ("therapy")"
hrrrng... need... more ships...
The Cobalt sandwich is inevitable!!!!
How defects make permanent magnets even more efficient
Rare-earth magnets are essential for electric motors in vehicles, drones, and trains, forming the backbone of modern, environmentally friendly mobility. These are not simple blocks of metal, but carefully engineered materials with a complex internal nanostructure composed of tiny building blocks called phases, each with its own crystal structure, chemistry, and physical properties. How magnetization behaves at the interfaces between these tiny building blocks and how well it resists demagnetizing forces ultimately determines the strength and stability of the magnet, and therefore the efficiency and reliability of the motor or generator. By combining advanced magnetic measurements, various microscopy techniques, and micromagnetic simulations, researchers from the DFG Collaborative Research Center investigated a high-performance samarium-cobalt magnet, Sm2(Co,Fe,Cu,Zr)17, which is known for its excellent thermal and chemical stability. Atomic-scale imaging revealed that while high- and medium-performance magnets can appear structurally similar, they differ substantially in their chemical composition at the nanoscale. The research is published in Nature Communications.

*slides out from under a rock* Hello. Behold. Here are my children
Details under cut!
If the lanthanides played Minecraft, what would happen? Would there be betrayal? Tension? Teamwork? Would someone rear a sheep or baby ghast?

transcript (because you'll need it):
Page 1::
La: lalalalala I am going 2 make a minecraft server
La: Cerium I'm gonna make u MINE!
Ce: OMG are we gonna kiss?
La: No hop on minecraft .
Ce: Lanthanum you know I'm a roblox gamer wtf.
La: Didymium siblings join my minecraft server.
Pr: ok but last time someone blew up my house.
Nd: will iron, nickel, or cobalt join?
La: no cuz they're not lanthanides like we are.
Page 2::
La: I'm not asking Promethium. Hey Samarium are you- oh she's speedrunning the game again
Narrator: meanwhile with Europium.... (they are enjoying the new baby mob update)
Narrator: and Gd (hy lost a round of Bedwars)
Narrator: and the Ytterby family (Terbium, Erbium, and Ytterbium look distressed as they stare at Terbium's PC monitor)
Tb: Is that... Herobrine?
Page 3::
Narrator: Ho, Tm, and Lu are creative mode players!
(there is a scene change from the very bad comic to reality)
Narrator, who was Dy the entire time: As for me, I mainly play on 2b2t and blow up other people's bases. I changed my minecraft skin to Herobrine one time.
A redraw from 2017+2019 of Samarium! Also called Sam/Sammy by his siblings :P This is Xenon's eldest brother who looks jarring but is actually harmless. He is the most gargoyle of all the siblings, with almost no demon attributes besides his eyes and some abilities.
