basically, one of the bot's i was around during the war (like.. brakeshaft or brakeskid or something like that) came screaming at me and me and some of the other folks stuck with (i don't remember a lotta them- pretty short time period) about some real secret super-important victory-or-defeat kind of data being lost somewhere.
and something about "YOU NEED TO HELP ME" and "SOMEONE NEEDS TO RETRIEVE IT IMMEDIATELY AHHHHHH" and blah blah blah something about him being too cranked to do it himself and he insisted it was one of us instead (he really seemed like he wanted me to do it the most for some reason lmao) and when i asked him about the data (because OBVIOUSLY i'm not turning down something this important) he said it was a in a thumb drive.
like, a literal THUMB drive.
as in a DIGIT.
blah blah blah i was running around a lot and it was kinda just me because as soon as i volunteered everyone was pretty quick to move onto the next checkpoint. didn't even say "BYE SWERVE" or "SEE YOU LATER COOL GUY" or "GOOD LUCK ON THE SUPER IMPORTANT QUEST THAT YOU ACCEPTED THAT MAKES YOU SO AWESOME", so it must've been an emergency or something
but anyway it took me CYCLES and CYCLES to find this crazy thing. and when i finally did (it was like.. in a really really obscure spot. barely even an outpost or anything. i don't even remember us ever going there ngl), i was practically running to get back to the others i had been with, or to find someone important that it was supposed to go to. and then i dropped it and stepped on it and it was smashed up and stuff. and then some decepticon scavenger mechs were tailing me for a couple more cycles right after. and then my group was totally gone, probably doing something super important or busy.
come to think of it, i didn't even check if the thumb had the drive in it at all. and nothing really happened after i broke it but maybe it was only bad if the decepticons found it or something i have no clue lmao
so YEAH !! THUMB QUEST. EPICALLY BAD QUEST BUT IT MAKES FOR A STORY
