The Summer of ‘17 / Abigail’s Wedding

Late August - Lily returned to Instagram to make the blue butterflies 🦋 / been off the grid post. Lily was in NYC for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show audition. Taylor wore both her Victoria’s Secret angel ring and the diamond eye ring (that Lily also has) in her commercial for UPS.

Sept 1-2 - Lily liked a post geotagged to and about Martha’s Vinyard and cats (see below) while Taylor was there for Abigail’s wedding on Sept. 2. Taylor wore her Victoria’s Secret angel ring and the diamond eye ring to Abigail’s wedding (see below).

Abigail’s wedding - Taylor wears the “J” necklace in addition to the VS angel ring and diamond eye rings. See article below from People about the importance of jewelry and how Taylor was using it in her music and videos.

In a few months, Taylor would pair the “J” necklace with the Victoria’s Secret angel ring and diamond eye ring in the “Delicate” vertical video. While it may seem to the casual observer that Taylor is showcasing the “J” necklace in the “Delicate” vertical video, she actually is showcasing the angel ring and eye ring also.

The “Delicate” vertical video has several shots very reminiscent of Lily’s 2017 Burberry/Elle ad, especially the ending (both videos end with a kiss). See below and here for the videos and more screenshots.

Abigail’s Wedding would also be where Taylor wore a thumb ring on her right hand.

Sept. 3 - Lily liked an Instagram post (now deleted, but timestamped on L Chat) about Taylor dropping “new music soon” a few hours before ABC and its affiliates surprise released “Ready For It.”

Sept. 7 - Taylor’s AT&T commercial is released where she wears rainbow shoes, the VS angel ring, the eye ring, and hides in a closet. (Link)
