here and there, I find just one lil fact I wish the internet had catalogued...
So behemoth and I were playing Wonder Boy in Monster Land (woo retro), and somehow we missed the Thunder magic and played almost the entire game without it. We finally found where it was by looking in an FAQ, but it was frustratingly vague, just saying "it's in Poseidon's world, somewhere in the middle". Of course, the reason I hadn't already managed to find all the chests underwater was that I didn't like the maze, so I'd rather hoped for a more detailed guide... It turned out that what you do is go to the second beach (the one you reach by going underwater in the bat cave), and swim along the top of the screen until you encounter the beginning of a ceiling. Then you drop down the opening immediately after the start of the ceiling, and that passage should have a treasure chest with the Thunder spell in it.
