Murderface's grandparents were pretty liberal with him growing up. So long as he wasn't doing drugs or alcohol or getting arrested they didn't interfere much. Only if he got too cocky and talked back did Stella hit him with the spoon.

Stella and Thunderbolt are Murderface’s paternal grandparents. (I felt the need to disclaim that because some people do take the wife’s name instead.) They took Murderface in out of guilt that their son committed murder, and because Murderface’s maternal grandparents refused to raise the son of a murderer.
