     “ I don’t get it. ” A small irritable huff is heard escaping her lips from where she’s sitting in the grass after having pulled herself from the river.  A few moments prior she had been drinking. peacefully minding her business. When, from out of nowhere, he popped up yelling ‘BOO!’. Which wouldn’t have been too bad, considering. But she had pretty much got so surprised she jumped right into the river. Now here she stands. Soaking wet, fur puffed up, and cheeks slightly tinged a shade of red in embarrassment as she shocks herself to dry off.

RP EVENT: Champion Trials

Within the heart of a Treehouse Forest resides Treehouse City; home to the Rescue Team Organization, banners and festive decorations hangs along the branches that hangs over head as well on the building both in the trees and on the ground as Pokemon were rustling around getting ready for the Summer Festival as well preparing the annual competition of the year for the RTO….The Champion Trails

 The warm summer glow peaks through the leaves as the contestants from all over come to Treehouse City for a chance to win the Trails to earn fame across the land as their name will go down in history as one of the strongest pokemon that ever lived as the streets flooded with crowds of pokemon. Some for the trails others for the Summer Festival itself and others; like a certain Gold Rank Rescue Team, are just there to enjoy the show.

{{ This has been tucked away behind Page 2 of my drafts, so I’m sorry this took so long! But today I got bitten HARD by the Muse Bug, so here we go!

Context: “Hate” is a very strong, and generally very judgmental, word, that Dove doesn’t really indulge in. But 

1. Training Is Hard and she kind of hates it, but she’s not exactly Mad about it. (She respects it, and his dedication to it, but, you know... begrudgingly.) 

2. As far as she can tell, he’s kinda accident prone (he has fallen over in both threads where they’ve interacted), and somewhere in the back of her mind she’s half-amused and half-worried about him Getting Hurt? Since there don’t seem to be any Pokecenters in the forest???

3. Honestly, this little guy trusts her, but she still doesn’t trust herself around him just yet. And that’s definitely not his fault, but she worries, with all the powers and conflicts floating around BOTH their worlds, one day they’ll get into something SHE can’t handle, and logically she knows he’s strong, but anxiety doesn’t really listen to logic, and he’s only a foot and a half tall, after all,so what if her powers do hurt him... She hasn’t quite grasped just how resilient Pokemon are yet.

It was a Saturday. A day where Red and some other Pokemon were going to have a little picnic in the park. Pika and Junior had brought the food and Lightning helped Red with the drinks. They wanted to celebrate a job well done of Junior’s training. Red waved to Pikachu, Junior’s teacher and one of Red’s best Pokemon friends and they all helped set up the picnic. Even Jessica was there, which made Red smile a little. It kind of embarassed him being on a picnic with a girl and he was a bit shy.

Once the eating began though, the shyness melted away like snow.

“This is all thanks to you, Pikachu. You are an amazing Teacher!” Even Junior chimed in with a happy “Pikachuu~” in agreement. Pika was still his over protective grumpy self, but he was slowly starting to be mellowing out. It seems finally Pika trusted Pikachu to turn his son into an amazing Pokemon. He won’t admit it however being how proud he was.

Dove’s brow creased, her face shadowing half a cringe.

“Well…”

(She needed a moment, to reassure herself that talking about a second, hypothetical End of the World wasn’t going to trigger a flashback. But she felt stable, contemplating it– though still a bit uncomfortable.)

“I’d have to make sure my friends were… safe. I don’t think I could do anything without knowing they were… at least going to try being okay. And I think… we’d have to communicate. I’d make sure we could. Probably with telepathy, because, uhhm… who knows how long the batteries in a communicator, or someone’s cell phone, would last? Probably not long enough,” she decided, shaking her head. “Especially because everyone will want to call their loved ones. Say goodbye… That’s another thing I’d have to do,” she realized, blinking with slow, wilting desolation at the thought.

“I couldn’t go through another end of the world, and not say goodbye to my best friends.”
