On 60 Minutes (right before 8x01 aired) GRRM said the ending would match the books for the main characters. It's the secondary characters that'll be different because Martin doesn't know what he'll do with them in the book.

Time to burn all my books and merch I suppose.

It's a tragedy. Juliet was like 13. It was not meant as some great love story, and I don't get why people see it that way. Romanticizing it I think is the opposite of the reaction you're supposed to have.

I don’t think I read those ones when I was a kid; I’ll take a look and see if I think they might like the series.

I actually popped into the used bookstore today and grabbed three Nancy Drews and a Hardy Boys (plus ‘Charlotte’s Web’ and an American Girl book that I liked when I was my niece’s age). They actually had some Boxcar Kids books too; I didn’t read those as a kid so I snagged the Nancy Drews because I read a ton of those when I was their age. I might pick up a few of the Boxcar books when I’m back in, though.

Did anyone read Sideways Stories from Wayside School? I saw it on a recommended children’s literature list, and remembered it was another I really liked when I was around their age. The reviews on Goodreads are kind of making me want to read it again.

This happens to me too. I skipped their scenes in the last episode, because after I saw 2x09 I literally felt sick and it took me a while to recover and I didn't want to go through that again. Their romantic scenes just make me nauseous, and that's never happened to me before.

lol listen their first kiss made me feel like I was about to break out in hives, I’m not even joking like it was that bad. Like just the image of her huge baby bump and then making out was *gags* I’ve def gotten that nauseous feeling before. Glad to know I’m not alone

As far as we know, Nina wasn't in Atlanta to film in December. imdb has been wrong about upcoming episodes before, so unless we hear otherwise I don't think we should expect to see her.

yup, that’s why i always say to wait for an official confirmation. IMDB can literally be edited by anyone.

thunderclawsummers Where I am in Virgina those are the high school options. In 8th grade you can take the first year of Spsnish, German or French. I took Spanish in 8th-10th grade and then in college as well. I have a BA so language is requirred, if you get a BS it's not.

We definitely didn’t have any language classes available below high school. And actually, I think locally you have to wait till you’re a sophomore to take them. It’s just super limited here; the majority of my language study has been self-study.
