The surface map this morning indicates a frontal system stretching from the Mid-Atlantic states through the Appalachians and into the Great Lakes, extending back to the Plains. This front has remained mostly stationary throughout the week, serving as a trigger for thunderstorm development. Today, severe thunderstorms are expected in parts of North Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, with potential for damaging winds, hail, and possibly a few tornadoes. Additionally, scattered thunderstorms will affect areas in New York, Pennsylvania, and the Mid-Atlantic, bringing locally heavy rainfall and strong wind gusts. Much of the eastern U.S. will experience hot weather again today, with temperatures soaring into the 90s in many locations. Meanwhile, the western part of the country should enjoy a dry and warm day. 🌩️☀️ #WeatherUpdate #SevereStorms #HeatWave #WeatherUpdate #SevereStorms #HeatWave #ThunderstormWatch #StormAlert #TornadoPotential #HeavyRainfall #WindGusts #MidAtlanticWeather #GreatLakesStorms #NorthernPlainsWeather #DryAndWarm #SummerWeather ☀️🌩️
