🌺 AYANE’S FAVORITE FLOWER would definitely be the dark purple variety of the ranunculus flower. Not for any particular reason. They just appeal to her quite a bit, from an aesthetical standpoint. She wouldn’t go out of her to plant them or anything, but if anyone was to ask, it’s what she would say. It would also be her phone’s wallpaper. And if anyone were to gift her a bouquet or a small pot of the flower, she would be overjoyed.
👨 AYANE’S RELATIONSHIP WITH HER FATHER is a pretty healthy one. She’s always been a bit of a lonely child, without that many friends, but she doesn’t feel that way all the time because he’s usually there to be with her and she doesn’t have to feel like she’s something she’s not around him. Most girls tell her about how they couldn’t dream of sporting a boy-cut or wearing questionably male-gendered clothing, but Ayane has never felt pressured to fit into standards or hesitated about sharing decisions she had regarding herself.
In that same train of thought, he is also very supportive of her taking interest in things most parents wouldn’t be very thrilled about, like taking fight classes or visiting university science fairs or buying books way out of her league or maybe even going to a gun range with Detective Kerensky. But he does draw lines like she’s not supposed to go to anyone’s house (but she can invite whoever she likes over to her place) and she has to inform him of all of her decisions and movements so he could guide her and/or make things easier for her. I don’t think she’s ever had a reason to be upset with him yet, but that’s also because she’s a very affectionate child.
👧 REGARDING SIBLINGS, Ayane doesn’t have any living siblings. She was supposed to have a younger one, but they were lost in a miscarriage and she is far too young to remember anything like that. Plus it’s not that relevant and she’s never had a reason to ask any questions that would have brought that event up.
⌛️ DEATH AS A CONCEPT is still a bit hazy for Ayane. Whatever close deaths she experienced, all happened before she was old enough to remember them and her family did a very good job of shielding her and making sure she didn’t suffer any direct effects. So while a lot of people who know about her circumstances might lavish her with pity and attention, she doesn’t really understand what’s going on. Even when the really nosy people attempt to sit down and explain it to her, she still doesn’t really care all that much because how can you miss something you don’t even remember having? Plus she’s not exactly lacking in affection and attention, so it all just seems like an unnecessary ruckus to her.
When she’s older and a lot more mature, she does think about it time to time, especially since murder and homicide is basically table talk and she’s always down to listen to all the cool stories and cases. But it’s never anything more than table talk.
