it was a few days after owen’s birthday party and sean was at his weekly study session with toby. he’d been trying to get his friend alone up until now but it has proved impossible, and his own insecurities meant that this wasn’t going to be a conversation unless they were strictly alone in the way that they were now. sean looked up from math he’d been trying to wrap his head around, figuring. it was now or never for this discussion. “so..” he said, still holding his pencil because he didn’t want to give off the impression he was trying to get out of working. “i, uh, y’know owen’s birthday? saw you kissing that rich kid?” he said, slowly and thoughtfully. that last part was a statement not a question, really, but he said it in a way that was a question, hoping to get some kinda clarification over what had gone down there. @needmoresleepers​
