this is a glass parade | kol & faye
The bonfire was both one of Faye's favorite and least favorite traditions of Mystic Harbor Hills. Favorite in the sense that it required little to no effort on her part and the setting all but guaranteed that things were bound to become absolutely out of control. And yet it was that same aspect about it that drove her crazy. The thing always turned into such a ridiculous trainwreck that it was almost painful to watch at times. Not that she denied that she usually had a hand in the disaster it became. Though, even Faye couldn't take any blame for what had gone wrong so far. Weaving her way away from the flames, the brunette cast a quick glance over her shoulder at the scene that Erica was trying to create. While she wasn't quite sure what the girl's plan was, deciding to try and out the witches was a bold move. And probably a stupid one.
Lifting the bottle of Jack Daniels she carried to her lips, Faye briefly tried to remember where she'd picked it up. It didn't really matter, though there was a brief flicker of annoyance at the fact that she couldn't remember. Of course, that could probably be blamed on the alcohol itself. As she pushed through the crowds, a smile came to Faye's lips with the realization that she'd managed to inexplicably survive the last year. That was about how long it had been since she'd first realized that Klaus wanted something from her, give or take a few weeks. And it was also how long it had been since she'd worked out her little deal with Kol, though she wasn't willing to call that quite as successful. Not with the baggage that came with it and certainly not with the fact that it was becoming more and more apparent that whatever it was that Kol had done to get Klaus off her back wasn't enough.
Once she'd managed to escape the outer edge of the crowds, a sigh of relief escaped her lips as there was finally room for a cool breeze to brush against skin flushed from the alcohol and flames. Bottle once again coming to her lips, Faye savored the burn as she turned to look back at the bonfire. "She wants a witch? She'll get a witch." She muttered, drunk enough to give up caring about whether or not what she was about to do was going to draw attention to her. Eyes flicking towards the bonfire, Faye focused on it. Amusement danced across her face as she watched the confusion as the flames seemed to die down, not quite out but moving in that direction. After a moment, she let go and gave it a slight nudge in the process. Immediately the flames surged back, larger than before and the shocked sounds from those closest to it brought a smirk to her lips. Tilting back her head, Faye watched as the flickering sparks cast off by the flames rose on the breeze. As amusing as it was, fire was an old trick. There were plenty of other things she could play with, though and now that she'd begun, Faye was remembering just how amusing magic could be.
