and I don't think it's right to say creepypastas wouldn't be misogynistic because

a. most of them grew up in a disfunctional environment, probably with bad examples of their parents

b. a lot of them are textbook psychopaths, that either don't understand or don't care for social norms, so they would either not care about misogyny or find it entertaining, as it gives them social power

c. most of the events happen in 2000s-early2010s with most characters being teen boys. this one is self explanatory i think

going back to the fandom depictions, I don't think creepypastas would be that gentlemanly either, since toby was an isolated unstable teen, who probably didn't get much socialising outside of his disfunctional family circle, which would make him extremely socially inept and awkward (would probably miss a lot of important social cues). pair it with the fact that his only male role model was his abusive father and you'll get....well....

jeff is a psychopath that doesn't understand/doesn't care about social constructs as well, so he wouldn't really see the reason to respect anyone, especially women, that are technically beneath him (i.e. have less privilege and protection (both legally and socially). if anything, the very existence of misogyny would give him a sense of power and he'd use it to his advantage

not sure about others, but I think helen's upbringing and abuse from his mother would also negatively impact the way he views women
