I kind of knew i had to draw @kandymation s Blacktide the second I saw her.  I wanted to draw her with Coalcap, one of my night light ocs! If you arent following Kandy’s dragon art blog you uhhhh need to: @dragondingus

‪I gave in and made a Nightlight oc! Her name is Blacktide. She’s a feral goofball who hatched a little too early as a baby and ended up learning how to fly later than usual. She’s much more comfortable maneuvering her way on land or in sea rather than in the air. She may not be the most experienced flyer, but she’s quite agile on foot and great at hunting fish. I’m not sure if nightlights all have retractable teeth, but also for one reason or another only her bottom row of teeth are retractable.

I love the idea/headcanon that Toothless and the LightFury have more babies later on and couldn’t resist making my own. ;u; Blacktide’s got all the grace of her mother in water, and all the dingus aspects of her father on land. 🖤🌊‬

“Petulant child…” it sings, one voice made of many— all at once harmonious and chaotic; like plucked harp strings and screaming cats and drowning sailors.

“Ungrateful and inssssssolent,” it tightens and constricts, saps oxygen from lungs and wreathes its black tendrils about a beating heart. It wounds and squeezes and scars.

“Time and again, you’ve been shown mercy, and still you struggleeee…ssssstill, you fight and deny me what is rightfully mine. Why, little songstress, when I have deigned to give you everything you ever wanted?” It falls silent in the darkness and shuts a thousand eyes. For a moment, there is only nothingness— an ever encroaching abyss.

“I will eat. them. all.” It begins again, raging, wrenching itself agonizingly about the very soul of its prey, rending and tearing and lashing and gnashing.

“One by one, only your cries as their final comfort. And oh, little…one, how I will make you cry. How I will make you ssssssuffer…and how you will thank me for it.”

Been playing this absolute classic of a racing game on PC. Featuring music by Scars On Broadway(Founded by Daron Malakian of System Of A Down), Black Tide, The Prodigy, The Qemists ft Mike Patton of Faith No More, and many more, it's a shame Taking Back Sunday doesn't have any songs in this game, and I think The Struts "Could Have Been Me" would have been in it if it was released in 2013.

Anyways, Playing this gives me a feeling of Nostalgia and Sadness, because it is a product of it's time, Ken Block and Dave Mirra are sadly dead now, but at least Tanner Foust and Travis Pastrana are still going at the moment. I Really loved this game but it makes me long for my childhood as I played it when I was 12 in 2009.
